September 15th, 2024 - "Just Love - Love and Gifts"

Scripture Passages:  I Corinthians12:1-6, 27-31; 13:1-2; 14:1-5

Spend time connecting, sharing food, and doing what it takes to make everyone feel safe and comfortable in the group.  (Practice Hospitality)

Questions

1.     Do you know one, two or a few of the spiritual gifts that you have? 

2.     How does it feel to share those?

3.     What do you make of the “hierarchy of gifts”?  Does it make sense to you that Paul talks about “greater gifts”?

4.     Do you have any experience with the gift of tongues? (whether you spoke in tongues or heard it or otherwise)

5.     How do you understand the gift of prophecy?

6.     Does it make sense that tongues is a starter gift and prophecy a greater gift?

7.     Do you think we deal well with power in our church community?  What could we work on or do differently? 

8.     How do you deal with all the discredited leaders in the church in the last number of years?

9.     What gives you hope from this passage/message/conversation.
