Questions

1.     What words or idea in the passage or sermon stuck out for you?  What grabbed your attention? 

2.     How does it make you feel to learn that this passage was added to the gospel of John later and not in the original manuscripts?

3.     When you learn about someone else’s sin, how do you typically react?

4.     What do you think is the significance of Jesus writing on the ground with his finger?

5.     Do you think we should require repentance in order to forgive someone?

6.     Which do you find more difficult, forgiving others or forgiving yourself? Why do you think that is?

7.     Can you share a time when forgiving someone was difficult?

8.     How do we know when we’ve reflected enough on our mistakes? How do we know when it’s time to move on?
