MOUNTAINVIEW NEWS
Join us at 10 am Sunday morning via live-stream or in-person, or at any time throughout the week. Pastor Erick will present a a message entitled “Pronouns and Predestination” based on the book of Ephesians chapter 1, verses 3-14.
Predestination is often seen as a scary and heady topic. Yet, when we read Ephesians 1 the words are overwhelmingly positive. Pronouns, on the other hand, are simple words that are often overlooked. Yet the words (we/us and you) have a big impact on our understanding of this passage.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 4 is not that far away (sad, but true)! We are hoping to "Celebrate the Garden" in that service and you are invited to bring any and all garden produce: flowers, honey, eggs, whatever you grow at home. Bring it to the worship service on Labour Day weekend, to the front of the stage for display. The hope and prayer is that we see a picture of how God blesses our work as we see the beautiful produce and fruits of our summer labour.
It would be wonderful to share it all after the service too! You take some of my kale, and I take some of your flowers! Reciprocity and celebration of the goodness of God's earth.

UPCOMING OFFERING: August 14th A.M. – ReFrame Ministries (formerly Back To God Minsitries Int’l) is the media ministry of the CRCNA. When you partner with us you are using the reach of media to:
· Share the Gospel in 10 languages: We partner with local, on-the-ground ministries in all of the places and languages in which we operate. Each ministry leader has a team of staff and volunteers who do the important work of sharing the Gospel in their own language and cultural context
· Disciple believers: Our work doesn’t stop with spreading the gospel. Following the example of Christ, our teams seek to build long-term, discipling relationships with the people we meet.
· Strengthen the local church: We believe the Holy Spirit works through the church, so we partner with churches to build and strengthen the body of Christ. English ministries include the following: Today, Family Fire, Groundwork, Think Christian, Kids Corner and Church Juice.
Your gift is reaching people from remote villages in Indonesia to large universities in China. Every dollar you send will provide new video recording tools for social media, airtime for television or radio stations, and follow-up discipleship for seekers or new believers. It is changing communities all over the world.
Celebrating and Growing Diversity in the CRCNA - On August 14, we will recognize and celebrate the growing number of non-Anglo congregations in the CRC. Learn more about the CRC Office of Diversity and consider giving to its mission as it serves and grows diverse leadership throughout the denomination. Check out the website: crcna.org/Diversity

What might be different about your daily life? What might be the same? How would you describe this type of wholehearted service to a child?
