God's Big Easter Story - Holy Week 2023
We are trying something new this year! A “Holy Week Journey” event on a Sunday afternoon, to provide families the opportunity to walk through the story of Jesus from Palm Sunday to Resurrection Sunday. This coming Sunday, April 2 from 2-4 PM you are invited to come journey with us, visiting the stations/stories from the “Hosannas” of Jerusalem to the prayers in the garden of Gethsemane, and many more. When you arrive, please enter at the main church doors (not the education wing doors) and you will be directed to the first station (in the fireside room), in small groups. There will be a paper pathway for you to follow throughout the building from station to station, and readers directing you along the way. While this event will be especially meaningful for younger ones, all of you are invited to come. Come with a posture of wonder as you reflect on the stories of Jesus’ last week on earth.
It will be most helpful if you register (link here) for a time slot so we have an idea of numbers; but don’t let that keep you from coming! If you decide on Sunday that you have a window of time to come with your kids between naps, please do so. Just be aware, there might be some waiting. Each station takes about 5 minutes; there are 8 stations.
We hope and pray that this will draw us all into the BIG story of God’s love for the world, as we see it unfold in Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.
-Sincerely, planning team: Alice, Leah, and Ruth Ann
