Message: “Reconcilation Repeat”
Scripture Passage: Colossians 1:15-23

Opening

Take some time to connect with each other.  If you are a new group, take the time to introduce yourselves.  If you are a returning group, catch up on what has been going on in each other’s lives.

1.     This is a series about caring encounters.  How are you feeling about the topic? (scared, excited, indifferent, curious, etc)

2.     What words or idea in the passage or sermon stuck out for you?  What grabbed your attention?  (if this question gives you enough to talk about for your entire small group time, perfect!)

3.     Share your version of “Jesus is amaze-beans”.  (what is your word for great or awesome or amazing?)

4.     In what way have you experienced Jesus as amazing?

5.     Jesus is fully God and fully human.  However, most of us tend to lean toward seeing him more as one or the other.  Can you say which way you would lean?

6.     Where have you seen Jesus bring reconciliation in your experience?

7.     What “blemish” do you have a hard time not seeing in yourself? Or, what accusation do you have difficulty not hearing?

8.     Is there a relationship in which you are working on reconciliation that you are free to share with the group?
