MOUNTAINVIEW NEWS
Join us at 10 am Sunday morning via live-stream or in-person, or at any time throughout the week. This Sunday Pastor Erick will present a message entitled “Introducing Esther”. He’ll be looking at the first two chapters in the book of Esther.
Esther is a powerful and unusual story. God is not mentioned, but He is clearly active as many surprising reversals take place. We will start the story and introduce some of the themes this week.

COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS & OPPORTUNITIES…
Cairn Christian School is looking for two teachers for next year and is inviting applications. The postings can be found at edvance.ca/job-board. One is a blend of full and part-time for a maternity leave position in Smithville, and the other for a possible full-time position in Stoney Creek.
We are also seeking school bus drivers for a few routes - Fenwick, possibly Vineland, an afternoon run for Stoney Creek/Grimsby to Smithville, and we are always interested in having backup drivers to pick up a run when a driver is ill or unable to drive. Cairn will provide training to obtain your bus licence. The process normally takes 3 months, so if you are interested, don't delay! (or prod someone who you think would be excellent). Contact Kevin Huinink at khuinink@cairnchristianschool.ca or 519-546-9159 for more information.
Cairn Christian School is thankful to God for His work in our students' lives, and looking forward to celebrating our graduates and the ways they have loved, learned, and led together in God's world! Our Stoney Creek grade eight class will graduate on Wednesday, June 22 at 8:00 pm at Fruitland CRC, and our Smithville grade eight class will graduate on Thursday, June 23 at 8:00 pm at Smithville CRC.

Send Us Your Church Life Photos - Send us your photos of the church at work or at worship! If you attend a CRC church and like taking photos, we'd love to see photos of your church in action: worshiping, engaging with the neighbourhood, gardening...anything that brings church members together. We hope to share these photos on our Facebook page, on the homepage of the CRCNA website, on the Deacons' Offering Calendar, and in other ways that showcase some of the many faces of the CRC. (For that reason, please ensure that you have permission from the people in the photo to share it.) Send your photos to Communications@crcna.org

JOYFUL GIVING
This Sunday’s Collection is for our Budget and for: Benevolence
UPCOMING OFFERING: June 19th A.M. – Congregational Ministries – Indigenous Ministry (Canada): As a denomination, we are committed to meeting the needs of people doing local ministry; listening better and hearing more from our churches; and following the leading of God in the work we do together. The congregational services ministries seek to partner with your church and help you partner with your community and other churches as you respond to God's call to go out and love. Each of our ministries addresses an important part of the ministry areas the CRC has identified as our collective calling: Faith Formation, Gospel Proclamation and Worship, Mercy and Justice, and Servant Leadership.
Indigenous Ministry (Canada): The Indigenous Ministry is made up of a national committee (Canadian Indigenous Ministry Committee), three Urban Indigenous Ministries, and a Justice and Reconciliation Mobilizer, each using their strengths to support healing and reconciliation between Indigenous peoples and non-Indigenous people in Canada. It is rooted in a recognition of our Creator’s love for all creation and in the understanding that we all have gifts to offer one another.
Shalom’s Extend the Blessing Campaign: Did you know Shalom Grimsby has a 5 to 8 year waitlist, depending on the applicant needs? Almost 1/3 of these people are from the Greater Hamilton area. Shalom is working to respond to the need for long term care and assisted living with the new site in Hamilton. Just as we needed financial assistance of churches 40+ years ago to build Shalom Grimsby, we need your financial assistance to build this new home. Will you prayerfully consider partnering with Shalom in this expansion into Hamilton? Envelopes, including materials on the project and how you can partner with Shalom to Extend the Blessing, are available at the Welcome Centre in the church foyer. Questions? Reach out to Theresa de Roos (fundraising@shalommanor.ca) 905.945.9631, X1126 or Anthony Holl (anthonyh@shalommanor.ca) X 1127.
