Happy New Year!
Join us at 10 am Sunday morning via live-stream or in-person, or at any time throughout the week. Pastor Erick will present a message entitled “Self-Examination”.
As we begin a new year together, we will let Psalm 139 guide us into a time of reflective self-examination that may well help us resolve to add a new discipline to our lives called Examen.
FOR WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY: I have a quick (and late) ask for worship this coming Sunday, January 1. As you look back over the year, do you have a quick word or phrase or memory of 2022 that you could share with me? One word, or a short phrase, or an event, that I could include in worship (anonymously). Happy, sad, or anywhere in between! Message me, or email, or text. Thanks, Ruth Ann
WITH GRATITUDE:
Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the volunteers who gave their time, talents, creative energy, and commitment to the worship ministry during Advent and Christmas. In late October a small group of us met to talk about Advent & Christmas worship plans: from there, ideas become reality. Thank you to planners, musicians, artists, dancers, and actors. Thank you to those who hang banners, set up decor, and print liturgies. Thank you to those who mix our voices and instruments, and record the livestream. Thank you to kids who made a chain of paper-links for the Christmas tree; and those who shared their faith stories. Thank you to those leading prayers, reading scripture, and preaching. I am so grateful for your participation. My prayer is that our Advent and Christmas worship was a gift to you, from God to the people of God.
With gratitude, Ruth Ann Schuringa, Worship Director.
Small Groups – It is in Small Groups that people can get close enough to know eachother, to care and share, to challenge, confide and confess, to forgive and be forgiven, to laugh and weep together, to be accountable to each other, to watch over each other and grow together. New Series will begin mid-January Contact Pastor Erick to sign-up your small group.

World Renew: Thank You for Generously Sharing God’s Love and Hope -
God’s blessings for 2023! Globally, 2022 was a year of many trials. Our world struggled to regain its footing after the economic backlash of the COVID-19 pandemic, while at the same time dealing with the impacts of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict that sent food prices skyrocketing, and extreme weather that only heightened food insecurity by robbing farmers of their crops – from a prolonged drought in parts of Eastern Africa to extensive flooding in Bangladesh. But despite the challenges, World Renew has witnessed God working through generous-hearted people like you to restore creation. We are so grateful to all who have walked alongside us to share God’s love and hope with people struggling with hunger, poverty, and injustice. Thank you!
If you would still like to give a gift of hope – it’s not too late – you can still shop our Christmas Catalogue at worldrenew.ca/gifts
