MOUNTAINVIEW NEWS

Join us Christmas Eve at 7 pm for a classic candlelight service of lessons and carols.

Join us at 10 am Sunday morning via live-stream or in-person, or at any time throughout the week. Pastor Erick and the team will lead us in worship. We will conclude our “Extra-ordinary Ordinary” series. with a Christmas Celebration: being amazed as Jesus enters in and engages our everyday lives.

The Mountainview staff team prays that you experience the fullness of what Christmas has to offer. It has been our joy to continue to serve you and to continue to learn from the humble servant king who was born in Bethlehem. As staff, we are thankful for the privilege of working in a church community. Our ongoing desire is to help others to also continue to grow in awareness of Jesus' great sacrificial love, and to develop the ability to share that love in authentic ways with others. May you, like the shepherds in the Christmas story, be overwhelmed with good news of great joy which is for all people. And may you join them in going to see and check out what has been proclaimed. And, finally, may you join the shepherds in spreading the news about what you have seen as you glorify and praise God! May the blessings of Christmas overflow for you into the new year!

JOYFUL GIVING

This Sunday’s Collection is for our Budget and for: Resonate Global Mission: Gail Gorfe

UPCOMING OFFERING: December 25th A.M. – Christmas Day – World Renew: Start a Chain Reaction of Giving this Christmas! - A blessed Christmas to one and all! Today as we celebrate the birth of Christ, we remember that by giving the world his only son, Jesus, God taught us the importance of generosity. Generosity lifts us up with hope. At World Renew, time and time again we have seen the beautiful multiplying effect of generosity: a gift of a goat from the World Renew Gift Catalogue to one family becomes the gift of goat’s milk from that family to a neighbour, and the neighbour, feeling energized by the nutritious gift, helps another neighbour to plough their field. Generosity is infectious! Praise God for teaching us about generosity. You can spark a chain reaction of giving with an item of hope from the World Renew Gift Catalogue. Your gift can change the story of poverty and hunger for a person, a family, a community! To give, visit: worldrenew.ca/gifts

TO GIVE:

1.    Choose an ornament from the Giving Tree or review the Gift Catalogue online at worldrenew.ca/gifts
2.    Complete the order form at the back of the gift catalogue OR give online at worldrenew.ca/gifts
3.    Place cheque/cash and card/form in offering vase OR give online at worldrenew.ca/gifts
