MOUNTAINVIEW NEWS

Join us at 10 am Sunday morning via live-stream or in-person, or at any time throughout the week. Pastor Erick will present the first message in our advent series series “Extra-Ordinary Ordinary” with a message entitled “Empire or Shalom” looking at Isaiah 40:9-11; and Luke 2:1-20.

Our Advent series will look at the extraordinary ordinary people who are some of the first to meet Jesus.  We start with the shepherds in Luke 2.  The role of the shepherds speaks loudly into what Jesus was about and is still about today.

UPCOMING OFFERING: December 4th A.M. – Benevolence:  Your contribution to Mountainview’s Benevolent Fund provides assistance for those in need in our church family and in our local community. Dear Brothers and Sisters of Mountainview CRC, Thank-you for your church's recent gift to the ministry shares program. Your gift helps the CRCNA proclaim the gospel of Christ and strengthens more people to be disciples of Jesus. We praise God for your willingness to pool your resources with those of other congregations so that we can advance the Kingdom of God in more places and in more ways than a single congregation could do on its own. I invite you to visit crcna.org/ministryshares to learn more about how your ministry share gifts are making a difference. I pray you will be blessed by all of your giving. In Christ's Service, Rev. Al Postma,Transitional Executive Director

Dear Friends at Mountainview CRC, As we come to the close of 2022 we are filled with gratitude for your help. Each gift we receive reminds us of our responsibility to “in all things, glorify God.” Redeemer remains aware and mindful of the support of our CRC churches. Thank you for your commitment, prayers and tangible support in helping to sustain our students spiritually, mentally and intellectually.

Rather incredibly as time seems to have flown by, we are now getting ready for our Christmas concert which will take place on December 9th at 7:30 p.m. with the theme “Christmas Around the World”. I’m including the link with info: https://www.redeemer.ca/events/christ-concert-christmas-around-the-world/. May you continue to see God’s hand of grace and encouragement in everything you set out to do. With kind regards and thanks,

Heidi Betts, Donor Relations

Dear friends at Mountainview CRC, Thank you for standing with your missionaries and ministry leaders worldwide! Your congregation’s support for God’s mission through Resonate reaches the hearts and minds of people in more than 40 countries, including places where Christians are vulnerable to persecution, isolation, and prejudice. Sending missionaries, church planters, and campus ministers remains a vital way that your church can join with others throughout the denomination to share the gospel story, both here at home and overseas. Seekers and new Christians alike need pastors and mentors to help them grow in faith and in their walk with Jesus Christ. On behalf of Resonate Global Mission, Thank you for being part of the family of faith that walks alongside them. In Christ, Kevin DeRaaf, Acting Canada Director
