MOUNTAINVIEW NEWS

Join us at 10 am Sunday morning via live-stream or in-person, or at any time throughout the week. This week Pastor Erick opens up a Week of Guided Prayer with a message entitled "Abundant Life" He will focus on the book of John Chapter 10 verses 1 to 11.

Easter shows us that God can do anything and communion connects us with Jesus.  Now how do we move forward in this relationship.  John 10 suggests that listening to the voice of Jesus our Shepherd is the key to an abundant life.

LET’S BUILD SOME COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS!

A heads up from the FACILITIES MANAGEMENT TEAM - Most of you are aware that we are building a new hospital here in Grimsby for West Niagara. The new hospital is being built around the old one. Once completed the old building will be torn down and that will become parking space. However, during construction parking at the hospital is extremely limited. FMT is in conversation with Ellis Don (the contactor constructing the new hospital) about using Mountainview’s parking lot for the many contractors working on the project.

This is a ‘win-win’ for all of us, as we can support the new build, they get accessible parking and the rental fees will go into a fund for the re-paving of our parking lot in 4-5 years. (An estimated expense in our 5-year plan of approx. $400,000.00) There are still a number of details to be worked out, but we wanted to give you a heads-up about the use of our parking spaces and the shuttle bus. There will probably be some inconveniences caused by this arrangement, we are doing our best to minimize these. If you have any concerns please feel free to speak with FMT Chair Rob Heersink or Board Chair, PJ Vermeer.

Gleaning is a biblical concept in which God instructed farmers to leave a portion of their crops for the poor to gather. Your donations help us to engage locally to impact globally in our ministry of mercy.
