As we continue in our Lent series on Communion, this week we see Jesus is asked about why his disciples don't fast and the powerful answer he gives.
Join us at 10 am Sunday morning via live-stream or in-person, or at any time throughout the week. This week Pastoral Intern Brady De Boer continues our Lent series with a message entitled "Fasting or Feasting?" He will be focusing on the book of Matthew chapter 9 verses 14-17.
LET’S BUILD SOME COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS!
God’s Big Easter Story - Please join us Sunday April 2nd from 2-4 pm on ... A HOLY WEEK JOURNEY FOR FAMILIES. This interactive experience provides children with a simple, meaningful way to grow in faith as together you remember the events leading up to Jesus’ death and celebrate Jesus’ resurrection. Adults are also welcome!
Sign-up begins March 24th (Registration link will be active on our Events Page then). We estimate this activity/journey will take 45 minutes - 1 hour to travel through 8 stations. 40 ppl are being booked for each half hour (3 half hour time slots available). Groups of up to 12 people will attend stations at one time. We hope that the schedule and number of people will allow groups to flow smoothly with the station activities so that waiting is minimized. HOWEVER, please do expect some waiting to be part of this experience. We are learning as we go this year and we thank you for your patience.
Easter Friends for Dinner; hosts needed, registration is open! On special holidays - all International Students’ Canadian classmates go home to celebrate with their families and they are left alone. Here are a few quotes from families and students who have been part of Friends for Dinner:
"We had such a good time interacting with International Students over Christmas; we will for sure do it again!"
"We really appreciate the kindness of our lovely host family to share love and hope by hosting newcomers like us. Everything was perfect!"
71.4% of the students will stay in touch with their host families, and 85.7% of the students would recommend Friends for Dinner to their friends. (Canadian- wide statistic) If you are interested in hosting, please sign up here: https://friendsfordinner.ca/hosts/hosts-stcatherines/
