MOUNTAINVIEW NEWS

Join us Sunday morning at 10 am or anytime throughout the week. Pastoral Care Pastor Jolene Veenstra will present the 3rd message in the “Just Love” series. “What’s In It For Me”. She will be looking at 1 Corthinians, Chapter 3, verse 13.

Paul says love is not self-seeking, right?  So why does 1 Cor 13:3 encourage us to think of what we might "gain" when feeding the poor and giving of ourselves? Let's slow down and spend some time on this one verse. Perhaps we'll get more of a feel for what Paul is getting at.

This morning we will also be celebrating the Lord’s Supper. Folllowing the service, join us for Potluck and Prayer

LET’S BUILD SOME COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS!

JOYFUL GIVING

Sunday's offerings are for our Ministry Promise (a.k.a. Budget) AND for...

UPCOMING OFFERING: September 29th –- Karis Disability Services (formerly Christian Horizons): Our new name builds on the principles that have always guided us. Karis conveys God’s grace and the gift of God’s radically accessible goodness in Christ. Our values (Valuing people, Fostering belonging, Serving others, Celebrating gifts) come from our belief that every person is loved by God and created in His image. Communities are not whole unless everybody has the chance to contribute. When you belong, and when you get to share your gifts and make a difference in your own life and others’ lives, you can thrive with purpose. We operate in Ontario and Saskatchewan, serve over 70 communities. 3,000 people use our services, 3,500 are staff members, and 100’s volunteer. Our programs include shared and independent living services, accessible family camps, advocacy, training, respite, and other programs. Globally we partner in Ethiopia, Guatemala, Haiti, Kenya, Nicaragua, and Uganda. Global work is funded entirely through donations and grants. People with disabilities in countries facing economic challenges are disproportionately impacted by poverty and lack of access to education. They need your support to thrive.

Ask God to show you where there is injustice in your community and how you can support people who are being wronged. Brought by Thrive: crcna.org/Thrive
