Offering Schedule for May 2021

May 2nd A.M. – New GroundAll across Canada, there are churches like yours, filled with people who long to see their communities transformed with the love of Christ. Yet many congregations don’t have all of the resources or expertise in order to do that. This is where NewGround can help. NewGround helps churches discover God’s dreams for their community and where He is already at work and how churches can join Him. In recent years, this program has extended its reach to include a Youth Justice component, to inspire and equip the next generation of changemakers, as well as Deacon Scholarships. When you give to NewGround, you are actively participating in growing God’s Kingdom in communities across Canada new and exciting ways! NewGround is funded primarily through this one-time offering; therefore we count on your church’s generousity. We are humbled and overjoyed by the support we receive each year!

May 9th A.M. – BeginningsIn the conviction that life is a gift from God, Beginnings provides multiple services related to pregnancy, parenting and adoption (licensed adoption services, trained counsellors, embryo donation, interim foster care, parenting and family education and support programs, and community referrals). Beginning’s approach is child-centered and dedicated to building and supporting health family relationships. Beginnings offers quality, non-judgmental services to everyone, does not participate in political action, and is committed to the concept of openess.

May 16th A.M. – Smithville Christian High is providing an authentically Christian education to teens from all over central Niagara.  Smithville Christian High graduates are serving God and bringing shalom all over the world. Your gift will be used to keep tuition in check so that many families can have access to the exciting programs that enable our students to thrive. Thank-you for your part in keeping Christian education affordable at all levels.

May 23rd A.M. – Resonate Global Mission partners with churches in Canada and the US to plant churches, do campus ministry, train and equip pastors, and develop future leaders. They send missionaries overseas, proclaiming the Gospel, and forging lasting partnerships. In addition to this ongoing work, they tackle new opportunities for ministry. Here in North America, we need experience in international ministry to help churches effectively reach across cultural barriers and forge partnerships within new communities of faith. In other nations, we need expertise in church planting and campus ministry to help people in every nation discover God’s plan for their church, community, and life. With your prayers and financial support, we will be able to equip all our churches for ministry and join together with what God is already doing around the world.

May 30th A.M. – World Renew – Sovann Neth has been faithfully serving with World Renew (CRWRC) in Cambodia since June 25, 2008. The people of Cambodia have been left with a daunting legacy. Three years of devastation under the Pol Pot regime saw one-third of its people die, followed by another 15 years of civil war. Since the first election in 1993, the country has worked hard to rebuild and retrain communities and restore confidence and trust in leadership. World Renew is careful not to dominate the development process. Through training in governance, sustainable livelihoods, food security, health, and education World Renew supports the local people to make their own decisions and take initiatives that are most important to them.
