What’s Going On? Our Children Are The Best!

We wanted to share with you an update on our Summer Schedule for the Kids@Mountainview Children’s Ministry. You can see the actual schedule below.

It is going to be amazing to enjoy praying with, doing activities with, and teaching your children in the summer!

There are a few things that are continuing on as per usual over the summer:

  • Babies and Walkers/Crawlers will be available every week (with two exceptions...see below).

  • We will have children’s bulletins, colouring sheets, and crayons/pencil crayons for kids to use during the service.

There are a few adjustments, over the summer, to our usual Kids@Mountainview routine:

  • Our Little Lambs and JK classes are combined for the summer (in the Little Lambs room).

  • Our SK-Grade 3 classes are combined (in room 13/14) and will be dismissed during the service as usual.

  • There is no summer program for Gr. 4-5. They are invited to sit in the service. 

  • In conversation, we have learned that, in the recent past, SK-Grade 3 has not run on long weekends. We plan to follow the same routine. So, on long weekends, there will be NO program running for SK-Gr.3.

  • We will have a big colouring sheet on the floor in front of the stage with an invitation to be creative/draw/colour and, most weeks, a child-friendly worship song.

Our volunteers are very dedicated to the children at Mountainview and regularly serve our children. They need some time off to get a rest before we ramp up again in the Fall. So we are giving all kids ministry volunteers two weeks of much needed rest. 

  • We will be having an Outdoor Service on August 27th. There will be NO Kids@Mountainview programs at all on August 27th (also NO Babies and Walkers/Crawlers).  We invite all children to enjoy being outdoors with their parents. Bring your own blanket to sit on, or take in the service as you like. 

  • Also, on Labour Day, some are still away and others are busy. All Volunteers will be off this week. There will be NO Kids@Mountainview programs at all on September 3rd: Labour Day weekend (also NO Babies and Walkers/Crawlers). Labour Day Weekend the service will be Live Streamed in Room 13/14 for families who would like extra space to worship with their children.
