Opening Up Again - June 9th, 2021
I have been hoping and praying all along that we will be able to function in a fully open capacity by September. And while I have no say or sway on how the provincial rollout takes place, it seems we are on track with the steps that are being enacted even now.
On Sunday we plan to open at 15% capacity and you may have already seen the invitation to register if you plan to attend. The area youth event that has been in the works for this Sunday evening is also going to include in-person participation for youth and their leaders at 15% of capacity. Unless you fall into those categories (youth and their leaders), you most likely have not seen an invitation to come but are most welcome to participate by watching the livestream on Sunday. Visit our website and view the livestream from the home page as you do for regular Sunday services.
These openings are an exciting and anticipated beginning and we continue to pray that things unfold with steady progress as vaccinations happen and case numbers drop.
For our preaching plans, this Sunday will be the third and final message in the “Love Your Neighbour” series. It was going to be the service that included profession of faith, but the original timeline did not seem to indicate that we would be open to having in-person worship. Now profession will take place on June 27th with the opportunity for a more personal experience for the families involved.
Between this coming Sunday and June 27th, we look forward to hearing Peter Kranenburg who has started his work at Mountainview. On June 20th, he will begin his summer series on some basics of the faith.
We continue to look forward to all that God has in store for us as we move in tune with the Holy Spirit.
