“Where do we find God?”

Genesis 27.30-34, 41; 33.1-10 NIV

Introduction:

Where can I find God?

1.       Jacob finds God in a surprising person.

a.   He comes into God’s presence at Bethel.

i.   He doesn’t find God.

b.  He comes into God’s presence at Jabbok.

i.  He doesn’t find God.

c.  He finds God in Esau.

i.   It changes him.

2.  We find God in a surprising person.

a.  We find God in Jesus.

3  I have found God/Jesus…

a.  In the Scriptures,

b. In surprising and not so surprising people.

Conclusion:

God is found in surprising people because
God will do everything to be found by you, me and people.
