CHRISTMAS DRAMA: ACTORS NEEDED: We will be presenting another intergenerational Christmas Drama on Sunday, Dec. 4.  It's called "Born for you and Me."    I've got some actors from last year signed up already, but I need some more. Teens, older kids, and/or young adults especially welcome! Rehearsals will usually be after worship on Sunday mornings, with flexibility for each scene's actors' availability.   Talk to Ruth Ann soon to take part in the joy and fun of a dramatic presentation of the Christmas story.

DINNER AT THE SCHURINGA'S: We would like to begin a monthly casual dinner at our house, over the next season, to help build community, and for you (and us) to meet others from Mountainview.  We can host 8 people at a time, on these three Wednesdays: October 5, November 2, and November 30.

You may sign up your own household only (not your friends, and not your small group) and we will figure out numbers for each evening.  Come one come all, if you are single, family, young or not, the Schuringa's would welcome you at their table!

Email ruthanns@mountainviewcrc.org to grab a spot, and indicate if you need one of the dates specifically; otherwise we will organize it as per numbers.  We will continue again in the new year, mid-January.  Thanks, Ruth Ann & Pastor Erick

UPCOMING OFFERING: September 25th A.M. – Congregational Ministries – Abuse Awareness Sunday: As a denomination, we are committed to meeting the needs of people doing local ministry; listening better and hearing more from our churches; and following the leading of God in the work we do together. The congregational services ministries seek to partner with your church and help you partner with your community and other churches as you respond to God's call to go out and love. Each of our ministries addresses an important part of the ministry areas the CRC has identified as our collective calling: Faith Formation, Gospel Proclamation and Worship, Mercy and Justice, and Servant Leadership

Mission Emphasis Week - Thank you for your gift to support God’s mission through Resonate! Resonate Global Mission is committed to walking alongside you and your church as you follow God on mission in your own community and discover God at work around the globe. Find out how your support makes a difference, or look for opportunities to get involved, at https://www.resonateglobalmission.org/

LOCAL DENOMINATIONAL NEWS

At-home Faith Formation Tip - In the book Liturgy of the Ordinary (IVP 2016), Tish Warren writes, “We learn the craft of holiness day by day in the living of a particular life . . . we are part of God’s big vision and mission—the redemption of all things—through the earthy craft of living out our vocation, hour by hour, task by task. I want to do the big work of the kingdom, but I have to learn to live it out in the small tasks before me.” How might this insight change your perspective on the small tasks of your daily life? (Tip from Faith Formation; bit.ly/CRCFaithFormation)

Listen now at GroundworkOnline.com and subscribe to Groundwork's weekly emails for future episodes.
