Join us Sunday morning at 10 am or any time throughout the week. Pastor Erick, will present a message entitled “Be the Image of God”. He wlll be taking a look at the First Commandment, looking at 2 Corinthians Chapter 3 verses 17-18 and the Heidelberg Catechism Q&A 96 - 98.
The Second Commandment prohibits carving idols - probably not the biggest temptation for many of us. We will look at how the positive use of "image" in the Bible leads us to see ourselves as reflections of God for all to see.

We want to let you know about the Ministry to Seafarers 4th edition of the Seaway Bike Tour Fundraiser on September 9th. People can participate in person by cycling, walking (new) or by sponsoring a participant. Spots must be reserved by August 31st.
We have planned four exciting routes to choose from: 12 KM, 25 KM, 50 KM and 100 KM. Not only will participants cycle along the seaway, we've built in some ferry rides as well, so cyclists can see the port from a whole new perspective. Our final destination is the magnificent Îles-de-Boucherville National Park located on the St. Lawrence River where we'll be serving lunch. We also welcome virtual riders.
Entry fees for virtual riders include a t-shirt which we'll mail to you. Reserve by August 31st so we can place the t-shirt order.

We are thrilled to be hosting our annual Fall Benefit Banquet and Silent Auction again this year on Friday, October 27 at the Grand Olympia. This is our biggest fundraising event and responsible for a major portion of our annual budget. As we are preparing to host this amazing event we are looking for unique, fun and interesting items for our Silent Auction! Do you have a cottage that you rent out, provide a service, have access to interesting vintage items, or maybe you received doubles of something at a wedding or bridal shower? Would you consider donating these items to our silent auction? Our ministry is so greatly blessed by the generous contributions of our community. Items can be brought into the Life Centre or you can call us at 905.309.0944 and we can arrange to pick up! Sometimes we all need help.
Have you ever known you needed help but had a hard time actually asking for it? At Grimsby Life Centre we work to remove any boundaries that stop people from accessing the help they need. Have you heard of a Stephen Minister? Based on Galatians 6:2, Stephen ministers are specially equipped to bear one another’s burdens. What does this look like? Weekly or bi-weekly get togethers, in the form of walks or over coffee at a local coffee shop, Stephen Ministers walk alongside you as you go through life’s difficulties. If you are widowed, lonely, struggling with a health diagnosis or you just need someone to talk to, please reach out to the Grimsby Life Centre at 905.309.0944, we have a Stephen Minister on staff ready to connect with you.

ICS Fall Courses - Check out the new courses offered at the Institute for Christian Studies this fall. Explore Jim Olthius’ 'theopoetic philosophy' in "A Cosmic Theopoetics of/for Love", "Biblical Foundations: Narrative, Wisdom, and the Art of Interpretation" with Nik Ansell, or "Critical Theory and Religion: The Frankfurt School and Beyond" with Ron Kuipers. All of ICS' fall courses are offered online, so you can take them no matter where you are. Tuition is $1,500 to take a course for credit, $600 to audit, or $400 for first-time auditors and alumni.
