MOUNTAINVIEW NEWS

Join us Sunday morning at 10 am or anytime throughout the week. Our Pastoral Intern Brady DeBoer will present the third message in the Daniel series. He will be focusing on the book of Daniel Chapter 6.

Daniel's integrity causes jealousy among his political rivals and they use his faithfulness to God against him. They trick the king into condemning Daniel to a horrible death of being eaten by lions! Will Daniel allow them to get away with this? Will God?

LET’S BUILD SOME COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS!

JOYFUL GIVING

Sunday's offerings are for our Ministry Promise (a.k.a. Budget) AND for...

UPCOMING OFFERING: June 23rd A.M. – Indigenous Ministry (Canada): The Indigenous Ministry is made up of a national committee (Canadian Indigenous Ministry Committee), three Urban Indigenous Ministries, and a Justice and Reconciliation Mobilizer, each using their strengths to support healing and reconciliation between Indigenous peoples and non-Indigenous people in Canada. It is rooted in a recognition of our Creator’s love for all creation and in the understanding that we all have gifts to offer one another.

The Banner Needs You! - The Banner is the CRC’s award-winning monthly magazine. It is delivered free in print and online to every household in the CRC, and their annual donation appeal makes it possible. Please support this journalistic ministry and keep the community conversation going. You can give now at: TheBanner.org/Give

Banner Writing Contest for Young Adults: Peacemaking - Cash prizes and winners published; enter by June 23. For details visit thebanner.org.

Give the Gift of Safety and Belonging - As conflict and violence continue to drive people out of their homelands in search of safety and a new beginning, families are facing increasing challenges, and many grow hopeless as they struggle to find safe shelter and a sense of normalcy. Refugees who settle in Canada often speak of the pure joy they find in knowing that they are safe. They bring with them their determination and resilience and become valuable members of their new communities. Through a gift to support the World Renew Refugee Sponsorship and Resettlement Program, you can help change the story of hardship and heartbreak to one of joy and belonging for refugees. To donate, call 1-888-WRLD-RNW or go online to: worldrenew.ca/refugees

Next week is National Indigenous People’s Day - As our congregation commemorates this important day next Sunday, we’ll be learning what happens when two cultures exchange hearts (and culinary traditions). In the meantime, we encourage you to visit bit.ly/NIPD2024 and learn more about the work of the CRC’s Indigenous Ministries, which will be our offering cause next week.
