MOUNTAINVIEW NEWS

Join us Sunday morning at 10 am or anytime throughout the week. Pastor Erick will present a message, “About That Call”. He will be focusing on the book of Isaiah chapter 42 verses 1-9.

As we install office-bearers, Isaiah 42 will give us pause to consider the purpose, method, aim and goal of serving in the church. It is the powerful call of God in our lives.

LET’S BUILD SOME COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS!

JOYFUL GIVING

Sunday's offerings are for our Ministry Promise (a.k.a. Budget) AND for...

UPCOMING OFFERING: May 12th A.M. – Beginnings provides counselling and support to expectant parents experiencing unplanned pregnancies and assists people wishing to grow their families through adoption and embryo services. Offering hope and practical assistance to pregnant women and families in crisis while prioritizing the dignity and inclusion of all people is the foundation of our work. From the inception of our organization, Beginnings has sought to be a place where our Christian faith can be seen in the expression of compassion and love. Our core values hold us accountable to advocating for those who are vulnerable and building connections, for families to grow together. “At Beginnings, we believe that our connections to one another are our greatest strength. We believe in creating a space for everyone where families can imagine what is possible together.”

Help Reduce the Global Maternal and Newborn Death Rate - Maternal and newborn deaths in the Global South are often a result of preventable causes, including unsafe practices and unclean birthing conditions that are dismissed as “the way things have always been done.” World Renew works with local partners to provide training in proper health and nutrition practices to volunteers who share their knowledge through home visits to the homes of new and expectant mothers. Join World Renew and  Women of Hope.  Gifts help provide crucial training and support to help reduce maternal and newborn deaths. For more information go to: worldrenew.ca/womenofhope

Your opinion matters! Please complete the World Renew Supporter Survey. - Thank you for walking alongside World Renew to share Christ’s hope with communities facing hunger, poverty, and injustice. World Renew is always seeking out ways to improve, whether in our programming around the world or in our communications with you. To that end, we invite you to complete a donor survey. As a thank you for completing the survey, we’d love to send you a copy of our 60th anniversary book, Your Story is Our Story, about ordinary people following God’s call to do extraordinary things. We welcome your input: worldrenew.ca/survey

The Banner’s Counting On You! - Please support the award-winning, journalistic ministry of the CRC by donating online today. $500,000 is needed every year to keep The Banner going. The more funds we are able to raise, the less we need to draw on ministry shares, releasing money to other ministries of the CRCNA. Give now at: TheBanner.org/Give

Board Members Needed - Are you eager to contribute time toward making a positive contribution to your local church and classis? Do you have experience in non-profits, budgeting, strategic planning, or governance? Do you have time to volunteer to help your local church and its deacons impact communities with Christ’s love? THEN BECOME A BOARD MEMBER with Diaconal Ministries Canada! Diaconal Ministries has been equipping and supporting deacons in the CRC in Canada for over 20 years. We are currently searching for a Board Member for Classis Niagara and for Classis BC NW. (Our Board includes one representative from each Canadian classis in the Christian Reformed Church.)
