Offering Schedule for December 2019

Dec. 1st A.M. – Shalom Manor & Gardens is a special Christian, non-profit long-term care home and retirement centre, serving seniors mostly of Dutch descent who belong to the community of Reformed faiths. Limited government funding does not allow the services our seniors require that meet our expectations and standards. Your gifts will enhance immediate resident care, programs, and debt load.

P.M. – Smithville Christian High School is providing an authentically Christian education to teens from all over central Niagara.  Smithville Christian High graduates are serving God and bringing shalom all over the world.  Your gift will be used to keep tuition in check so that many families can have access to the exciting programs that enable our students to thrive.  Thank-you for your part in keeping Christian education affordable at all levels.

Dec. 8th A.M. – Benevolence: Your contribution to Mountainview’s Benevolence Fund provides assistance for the needs of our church family and the local community. These include basic needs such as food, clothing, housing and schooling. A church and community of our size has many varied needs within it. Please continue to support our ministry of benevolence.

P.M.– Calvin College is a liberal arts college in the Reformed tradition.  Founded in 1876, Calvin College is one of the largest Christian colleges in North America with over 4,000 students and over 70 academic programs.  Every dollar Calvin College receives from ministry shares is used to aid Canadian Christian Reformed students through denominational and exchange grants.

Dec. 15th A.M./P.M. – Back to God Ministries International is the media ministry of the CRCNA. It proclaims the gospel of Jesus Christ through indigenous teams in people’s “heart languages” using the web, radio, television, phone, print, and other media. It opens doors for salvation and discipleship, broadcasting the gospel in otherwise closed regions.  BTGMI aired its first radio program in 1939. Today, we are reaching people in almost 200 countries and 10 major languages.

Dec. 22nd A.M. – Cairn Christian School (formerly NACE)Our Cairn Christian School sites in Smithville and Stoney Creek work to inspire students to love, learn, and lead together in God's world.  This offering provides vital support in achieving this mission, enabling students and families the opportunity to access an amazing Christian Education, and communicates our love for their students.

Dec. 24th P.M. – Christmas Eve – Grimsby Life Centre CENTRE is a ministry that is committed to providing help for the physical, social, and mental well being of those in crisis. This loving care is demonstrated through on-going counseling, support and care. All services are free and confidential and we depend solely on donations from individuals, churches, businesses, and fund-raising events. Thank-you for your support and prayers.

Dec. 25th A.M. – Christmas – World Renew envisions a world where people experience and extend Christ's compassion and live together in hope as God's community. Compelled by God’s deep passion for justice & mercy, we join communities around the world to renew hope, reconcile lives, and restore creation. World Renew's worldwide ministry is three-fold: Community Development, Disaster Response & Rehabilitation, and Peace & Justice.

Dec. 29th A.M. – Redeemer University College is a Christian undergraduate university offering programs leading to Bachelor of Arts, Science and Education degrees. Redeemer has prepared graduating classes — the next generation of Christian leaders — for more than 30 years. Redeemer students are being shaped by the Reformed commitment to see faith woven through all aspects of learning and life. Across the world, our faculty, students and alumni are making an impact.

Dec. 31st P.M. – New Years Eve – Mountainview Minstries:  Budget … End Of Year: Your contributions empower us to grow in relationship with God and each other, and go, sharing Christ’s love in words and actions to our community, through programs such as Coffee Break, GEMS, Cadets, Small Groups, VBS, Friendship and more...  It also allows us to keep our facilities running, and in good shape. Your gift this evening will enable us to meet our financial commitments for 2019.
