Offering Schedule for January 2021

January 3rd – Shalom Manor & Gardens is a special Christian, non-profit long-term care home and retirement centre, serving seniors mostly of Dutch descent who belong to the community of Reformed faiths. Your gifts will enhance immediate resident care, programs, and reduce debt load, so that we can better provide the excellent care we feel our seniors need, above and beyond what government funding provides.

January 10th – Benevolence: Your contribution to Mountainview’s Benevolent Fund provides assistance for the needs of our church family and the local community. These include basic needs such as food, clothing, housing and schooling. A church and community of our size has many varied needs within it. Please continue to support our ministry of Benevolence.

January 17th – Niagara Christian Gleaners is an organization in Smithville that seeks to visibly demonstrate God’s love and grace by working with volunteers to collect, process, and make available surplus agricultural produce; sharing our abundance with those around the world who are in need. Gleaning is a biblical concept in which God instructed farmers to leave a portion of their crops for the poor to gather. Your donations help us to engage locally to impact globally in our ministry of mercy.

January 24th – Rose City Kids: For 10 years Rose City Kids has been actively reaching children in Welland’s low income communities. We launched our first program in 2008 with just a small group of volunteers and children. Since then, Rose City Kids has been blessed with growth and success.Through our diverse programs, we see hope restored lives changed, relationships built, physical needs met, and overall we see the love of Jesus in action in our community. January 31st – Cadets is a program for boys 9-14 years of age. The ministry of cadets is to teach the boys to learn more about God and respond to the world around them in a Christ-centered way. This is done through activities such as Bible study, badge work, crafts, games, campouts and league activities. Your donations help us to mentor and nurture boys in our church and surrounding community, in their walk with God.
