Slide 2

Your Great Big Mission Budget
Stewardship

Slide 3

Do you have time?

Slide 4

Chronos: We all have 24 hours a day for 365 days each year.
Kairos: there are events that move us from the past into the future

Slide 5

Kinds of Time
LXX Septuagint
1 There is a chronos and a kairos for everything...
2 a kairos to....a kairos to...

Slide 6

Your life is a season in time
2     a time to be born and a time to die,

Slide 7

No clear allotments.
Calls for wisdom.
Wisdom: walking with Jesus in constant conversation

Slide 8

Some may be pretty clear
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

Slide 9

Some should be way out of balance
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace

Slide 10

Some require relational attention
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to be silent and a time to speak

Slide 11

Some may need community input
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend

Slide 12

The wisdom of boundaries
11 He has made everything beautiful in its time.

Slide 13

The wisdom of limitation
He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

Slide 14

Assess your time:
1. Receive each season as a gift.
2. What values show through your schedule?
3. What season are you in?
4. Which time decisions challenge you?

Slide 15

Live in community:
With whom will you discuss your stewardship of time?
How do you talk about it with God?
