Simple, yet profound
7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.

Is this what we believe?
Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

Just one verse earlier
 6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us.

What if the content of knowing is love?
8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Then we better know love
1. It is first received
10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son

2. It is an "ought of fit"
11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

3. Love partners us with God
12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

4. Love Knows Jesus
15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.

5. The content of knowledge is love
16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us

6. Love is a fearless relationship
18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment

7. Six days you shall love and on the seventh rest in repeated truth:
16 ...God is love.
19 We love because he first loved us.
21 ... Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.

2. Serve others with your gifts
3. Be in loving community
