We have several options for assistive listening devices

Option One:
You can use your own hearing aids with an app for your phone that will connect you to the system over wifi and listen through bluetooth to your hearing aids.

  1. Download the Wavecast app for your phone from the logo/links below for Apple and Android phones

(iPhones should be 13 or higher; android devices should be less than 3 years old)

  2. Connect to the “Personal Listening” wifi signal Password is 12345678

  3. Open the app and select “Mountainview” on the screen

  4. An listening icon will show up, give it a few seconds to connect there will be a volume control slider as well

Note: This works best if you turn OFF your hearing aid app/microphone at the start and turn if back ON at the finish.

Option Two:

You can also use one of the new transmitters available at the Welcome Centre. This a a radio FM system, not bluetooth or wifi. These transmitters pick up the livestream feed. (To turn on the pack, press and hold the top button till the light comes on)

The transmitter can be used with an ear piece (similar to the old system) You can bring your own earpiece or use the ones provided. (top image)

You can also use the transmitter from the Welcome Centre and use a Loop that plugs into it and you wear it around your neck. (bottom image) It then connects to the T-Coil in your hearing aid. You’ll need to check with your hearing aid provider to see if loop is activated or not.

We presently have 4 units, if you use one regularly, it can be assigned to you, please contact Peter Van Geest at pvangeest@mountainviewcrc.org or call ‭(905) 541-8230‬.
